Here, There & Everywhere

I hadn't even considered wedding music for our registry office ceremony until a comment was left for me on YouTube asking what songs we had chosen. Now it's the night before the wedding and we still haven't decided. We have to choose one track to be played while signing the register, nothing more. The current favourite is this..

The reason being that we are Friends fanatics. We easily watch a disc a night, it's what we have on as we go to sleep.. I am so used to it at this point I took a few to hospital when I was having Milo.. it's like "home".. do you know what I mean? Anyway my favourite wedding of the series has to be Phoebes and for years I wondered what song was played on steel drums as she walked down the aisle.. I finally googled it and discovered it was this very Beatles track. It's significant to us because of our 'obsession', it's a romantic song and generally we just like it and I'm not usually a Beatles fan - blasphemy, I know. For your own viewing pleasure here's a clip of said wedding... go on.. tell me it's not the most romantic, fairytale wedding! You just can't!

Not Again?

I can't even believe I'm writing this post but.. I am. The wedding venue has changed.. again. I can tell you that it has now been booked and paid for and so there shall be NO MORE CHANGES but the beautiful Sheffield Register Office I had my heart set on is no longer available.. UNTIL APRIL! Much as I loved the Sheffield venue I just don't want to wait four more months so Doncaster it will be after all. The place is nowhere near as nice but it's grounds are still lovely and my parents were married there so that's always nice. We only live 5 minutes away so that's a bonus and we're more familiar with the area so we will go for a drink afterwards and.. know where we're going. There are some positives and as long as I have some nice photos at the end of the day I don't really care where we do it.. I just want to be married to Lee. I mean.. isn't that the point? I did have a big stressy moment (more like an hour) today where I just couldn't put a positive spin on the situation but I quickly realised the venue wasn't important and I'm back to excited now we've finally booked the date! You may have  noticed the countdown I've added to the sidebar...

We are getting married at 10.30 on 28th January.. that's like 2 and a half weeks away.. eek!

I Do Venue....

Today we took a trip out to visit Sheffield register office and the surrounding areas to get an idea of where we will be on the day and photo locations. It was ridiculously windy - fingers crossed the mild weather returns for the 28th - but we managed to get around and see everything we wanted to see and get plenty of photos. I'm really pleased with the location and the register office inside is amazing.. I can't quite believe it's costing so little.. it's like a stately home or something. I'm pretty sure it's a listed building.. a bit special! Just around the corner there's the Peace Gardens which are obviously a little lovelier in Summer but I was pleased to see the fountain still operates in the colder months. For a little warmth there's an indoor "Winter Gardens" in which I imagine we will have pictures taken with the children so as not to expose them to the January air. All in all it was a productive trip and I've come over all excited having seen the place we will be married in. Now I apologise for what is about to become a very picture heavy post but I found it difficult to pick and choose my favourites from the day.. here's what I narrowed it down to...

Aaarggh!!!!

 I am so conflicted!
You may already know this about me.. I'm very indecisive!
So, to begin with we were going to vegas for sure... that was definitely what we wanted to do.
Then we decided we weren't gonna be divorced in time so we looked for alternatives..
We looked at our local register office (eugh), local cities that may have nicer town halls we could marry in... eg, York/Leeds/Sheffield. At my parents request we looked into Gretna Green (so expensive... thought eloping was sposed to be cheap) and then most recently we settled on London.
We thought if we couldn't go where we wanted maybe Christmas in London would be special?
mmm... Now I don't know. We still don't know that we'll be divorced by then so until we have that locked down we can't really make any solid plans anyway so that sucks.. But we keep going back to Vegas.
Part of the reason we were in kind of a rush was because we thought I'd be pregnant by now.. I wanted to be married before we had a baby (preferably before I was pregnant but at least within the first 3 months).
Now we've had our fertility issues (see baby making blog - http://missbbsbabybump.blogspot.com/) we really don't need to rush. There's always the chance I could conceive but I think we're 6 months off that so we have time to go Vegas after all... but now I'm thinking, can we really leave our families out of it? It was the initial plan but now I'm not sure... I'd love to go just the two of us and come back married... it would be romantic and exactly what I think I want but I don't want to look back in 10 years time and wish we'd had a big celebration. We can have a little party of course I just don't want to do anything I'll regret. I was so sure of how I wanted things that now I've had time to take a step back I'm really confused.
If we could go to Vegas tomorrow and get hitched that would be bliss... part of my issue is the timing.. I hate to wait for ANYTHING and I only have a few times in the next 6 month this trip would be possible.. maybe 2 or 3 dates we could go away for maybe 4 nights. If we put it off more than 6 months (which would be easier) I've a lot more chance of being pregnant... which is a good thing but scuppers my plans.
ARRGGHH!!! I'm a secret worrier and try to seem on the outside like I have everything figured out but in truth I have no idea.. so I'm sharing my nerves with you and asking for your help..
If you could get married anywhere where would it be? Home or away I'd love your suggestions.. I don't want a hotel or a beach wedding but am not opposed to outdoors... I don't want a big family affair but could handle maybe 6-8 guests if I must..
The best time we could do this would be February - my birthday is the 4th and Valentines in of course the 14th so they are potential romantic dates..
If anyone knows anywhere lovely in the UK then fab but I also would love to do it somewhere in America.. don't care where or what the weathers like...
WHATEVER
 help??

xoxo
